One of my favorite books to read during the winter time is this one-
It's a tale from the Ukraine about a few animals of the forest who find refuge from the cold in a little boy's lost mitten.
After reading the story, Livia (5), who takes private lessons through the schoolhouse, made some mittens of her own.
